Unusual visitor

Last week while Teresa was visiting we had a very unusual visitor. While sitting down to eat lunch, Teresa noticed something standing at our backdoor. When they told me to come look, I just assumed it was a snake or lizard as we seem to have those visit quite regularly. I have to say I was shocked to see a ferret standing and scratching to get in the house. Hank went out to the shed and got Minnie's old carrier and caught it. It has been extremely hot out lately and I couldn't leave him outside, they are not outdoor animals, not to mention that we have hawks and eagles that circle our yards. Turns out he lives right next door to us. We hardly ever see those particular neighbors so I had no idea they had ferrets. We are just thankful that we found his owners and he was returned home!

Seriously, who finds a ferret at their door?!
Cutter was rather amazed. He spent quite a bit of time talking to him.

Easter, Navarre style

I know these are a little late, especially considering that we are getting ready for the start of summer, but I take pictures with my phone and then forget to download them to the computer. Easter Sunday was a beautiful day, and one of the few that we and some of our other friends were all free for the day. We packed some snacks and some toys and spent the afternoon at the beach.

Yes, it really is that beautiful here. It's okay to be a little jealous.
We often find the leftovers of engagements and weddings on the beach, Sailor was so excited to find this big heart lined with rose petals.
We took a blow up boat we had, and even the big girls had a good time.
I'm pretty sure he's digging a hole although I'm not real sure why.
Morgan buried Tucker then tried to cover him with silly string.
Poor Leann, I think Cutter ate everything she brought! He especially loved the strawberries.

Sweet Sailor

Sailor loves drawing and making things. She usually spends free afternoons coloring or drawing pictures. I honestly can't remember if she made this at school or home but I had to take a picture to share. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Apparently I need to get off my lazy butt and put some effort into getting myself into better shape.

For those worried, I can assure you I have not been wearing hair bows!

Paint It Here

With all three of us having busy kids, it took us awhile to find the time to plan a girls night out but we finally did. We originally thought we would have to go to Pensacola for one of the painting classes, but I lucked up and found out we had one here in Navarre, Paint It Here. One of the things I loved about this particular store is that she allows each person to choose a different picture to paint. We were able to schedule a class at the very last minute and it couldn't have worked out better, we were the only three in the class that night. We had such a good time with plenty of eating, singing and of course, painting.

Karen thinking about her masterpiece.
I was super proud of just the sky and water!

It's slowly getting there.
Our finished paintings. We are artists!

Mid Season Tournament

We recently finished up playing in the Mid Season Tournament for softball. This was a week long double elimination tournament played in Gulf Breeze. Although long and exhausting at times, it was so much fun to watch. Sailor's team played extremely hard and made it to the final game, only to be handed their first loss. Not only was that their first loss of the tournament, it was their first loss of the entire season! Luckily since it was only our first loss of the tournament they were able to play one more game for the championship, and they won! Sailor was so proud, especially with this being her first season playing softball. The tournament had teams from Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, Perdido, and even from Gulf Shores, Alabama.

First dental visit

Not to long ago, Cutter got to go for his first dental visit. The dentists we've used have always suggested waiting until the kids were three before having their first visit unless they were having problems. Luckily we've never had any issues, and thankfully I have kids that don't mind going to the dentist. Cutter is no exception. He was a little unsure of the noise that the tools made, but he thoroughly loved getting to play with the chair and watching cartoons. He told me the only thing he didn't like was the bright light!

Cartoon time!

Three Piggy Opera

Sailor's class recently joined with another first grade class to put on a program, the Three Piggy Opera. It was adorable! Sailor was so excited as she was chosen to be one of the pigs that got to sing a little solo, that child loves to be on stage.

Look closely and you'll see they even had little piggy tails.

Sailor and Cassandra, the cutest little pigs ever!
