Eric Paslay

Each year in the spring Navarre Beach has a Funfest and although we were not able to go to the festivities that took place during the day due to ballgames, we decided to take in the concert and fireworks that evening. Eric Paslay was performing and I was a little excited to see him perform. His name may not sound familiar just yet, but I'm pretty sure you know his music. He co-wrote Barefoot Blue Jean Night by Jake Owens, Even If It Breaks Your Heart by the Eli Young Band and a few others which he performed. He sounded great! I sure hope we continue to see and hear him on a regular basis, he is super talented.

As you can see we really had a long day prior to this, I let Cutter go dressed in pirate pants! And nothing completes the evening like funnel cake.

We even got to meet Eric Paslay after his concert. Did I mention he was super tall?!
This is a video performance I found on you tube of one of his newest songs, Deep As It Is Wide. He wrote this song and Amy Grant recorded it for her newest album with the help of him and Sheryl Crow. It is absolutely beautiful!

Pier time

Towards the end of May, Tucker was out of town for a few days on a school trip. We treated the other two to supper at the pier one evening and enjoyed the nice weather we had been having.

Sailor wanted so badly to get down and go play volleyball.
The water was a little dirty but still clear enough that we were able to see these three Manta Rays. This was the first time I had ever seen any somewhere besides an aquarium, I was so excited.

Box turtle

One morning while I was busy getting the kids ready for school I noticed something crawling across the backyard. This is the first time since we moved here that I have ever seen a turtle in our yard. I immediately went out and moved him to the back porch so the kids could get a closer look, this was the first time Cutter had seen a turtle up close and personal and he was quite amazed that he could completely close up in his shell. After a good inspection by Cutter, we left him alone and let him continue on his journey.

Sharks, end of season party

After a very busy ball season with three kids playing, the end of the season finally arrived. Cutter was a little heartbroken that he no longer has any games but was thrilled that he finally got his very own trophy. That is the whole point of playing, right?!
 The Sharks
One proud little guy. He carried that trophy around the entire rest of the day.

Like Father Like Son

Cutter thinks Hank is just the best thing ever and usually tries to do everything he does. However, I don't think this was exactly in his plans. How he managed to fall asleep without falling off the arm of the chair still amazes me.
