Mothers Day at the beach

For Mothers Day my kids let me do one of my favorite things, go to the beach. I think they enjoy it as much as I do. We waited and went later in the afternoon when the crowds had cleared out and pretty much ended up having the beach to ourselves. Tucker and Sailor would spend hours running up and down the beach if they could and Cutter is perfectly happy sitting in the sand getting dirty. Me and my truck are very thankful for the showers at the state park!

One of the rare times where they aren't fighting.

Cutter loves nothing more than to sit and dig in the sand.

Looks can be very deceiving, they were trying really hard to push the other one into the water.
I love this picture, notice his facial expression!

Red Horse

This is the only picture I have received since Hank deployed. The internet seems to be very slow and Hank says to upload and download is almost impossible. I'm assuming this was taken at the base he's currently at, but could be wrong, I will have to try and find out from him. Not exactly the most scenic place he's ever been.

Morning walk

Some mornings before the heat of the day sets in Cutter and I go over to the pier for a morning walk. We enjoy getting to look at the beach, watch the fishermen, watch the surfers and look for fish. The pier is 1/4 mile long so in addition to Cutter getting to burn some energy I get in a little bit of exercise, we usually try to walk it a couple of times.

Cutter loves it when he gets to watch someone bring in a fish, regardless of what it is. He was especially excited this day to see a shark up close.

Dance Awards

Yesterday the parents were treated to one last dance by the kids before they were given their awards in class. Luckily my phone will record video so I could share with everyone.

Dress Rehearsal, jazz

This was by far Sailor's favorite dance. They performed to Lucy in the Sky by The Beatles and I believe she is now a Beatles fan. I noticed during rehearsal that while some of the other girls were watching the teacher, Sailor was busy singing along with the song while dancing.

Dress Rehearsal, tap

Sailor's tap routine was to Stand by Me. Not only did I love the song choice, but I believe this was my favorite outfit. I really appreciated that the teacher decided on an outfit that had one main body suit with different skirts. With Sailor in 3 dances and 1 tumbling performance, the less changes the better.

Dress Rehearsal, ballet

Sailor's ballet performance was to the song Everlasting Moon and she has really surprised me this year with how graceful she danced and how good her body lines looked. She looked like a real ballerina up on that stage, so beautiful.

Dress Rehearsal, tumbling

Last night was dress rehearsal for Sailor's recital. I think it's the first time I've actually gotten to see all her performances and she did such a great job. And as much as she hates having to get hair and make-up done, she loves to get on the stage and perform.

Waiting backstage.

In between each "station" they have to wave their wand and wiggle their hips, Sailor's good at that part.

Swim time fun

A couple of weeks ago we spent the afternoon at the Marquis house for a little swimming and cooking out, it was absolutely wonderful! The kids had such a good time and I finally got to spend some time with Leann. The water is still a little chilly but if the weather stays as warm as it's been lately it will be perfect in no time at all, obviously it didn't keep the kids from getting wet.

Cutter enjoyed making a big splash on the steps.

Cutter and his Alli, he loves his Alli.

Little boys and their trains

I don't know what it is about little boys and their love of trains, but Cutter certainly is no different. He loves all things Thomas, Dinosaur Train and Chuggington. If I had kept all the Thomas toys Tucker had when he was little we would be saving ourselves a small fortune right now.
