Akers of Strawberries

On a rare weekend with no ballgames, we recently drove up to Baker to a local strawberry farm. Tucker remembers picking strawberries while we lived in NC, but Sailor wasn't old enough to remember. They were quite excited to be able to go and pick them ourselves.

It's very difficult for a 3 year old to understand you can't pick just any strawberry and you can't eat them as you pick them.

To help with berry confusion, Cutter was given the job of holding the box, which he was very excited about!
Tucker helped Cutter out with some berry picking.

They also serve homemade strawberry yogurt and shortcake. I decided I needed to try both.
Cutter was so excited with all the berries we got and could hardly wait to try some.

Coloring fun

We had some of our friends over before Easter to do a little visiting, eating, and of course, coloring of Easter eggs. I think even the big kids had a good time. I have already started stocking up on supplies so we can do it again next year!

Cutter was so proud of his eggs.

Leann worked extremely hard on her egg! Look Alli, it matches your shirt.

Cutter quickly got tired of keeping it neat and found his hands worked much better.

The big girls thought an egg toss would be fun. Somehow we all knew how this would end.
We called that one right!
No party is complete without an Easter egg hunt. Luckily we only hid plastic eggs, because several weeks later we found one still hid!

St Paul Easter Egg Hunt

I took Cutter and Sailor to an Easter egg hunt at St Paul UMC, which happens to be where Cutter goes to preschool. They had such a good time. Cutter wasn't entirely sure about what exactly he should be doing but still managed to find plenty of eggs.

In the middle of hunting for eggs he had to stop and repair a wheel on a toy truck he likes to play with.
He also had to do a little playing on the slide, obviously the eggs weren't his top priority.
After the egg hunt they had juice and cookies for the kids followed by crafts. Sailor and Cassandra busy coloring.

Sprinkler fun

Cutter received a sprinkler for his birthday from the Padgett family and has been quite anxious to get outdoors and try it out. The temperatures have certainly been warm enough for it, so we recently got it out and let the kids play, they loved it!

Potty Training Celebration

To celebrate the success of Cutter being potty trained we had promised to take him to Navarre's newest frozen yogurt shop, Beach Berry. Although it can be a little pricey, it was well worth it! You get to pick your own flavor of frozen yogurt and then add any and all toppings you choose, and what a selection they have. The best part is you pay by the ounce. I love that I'm able to decide how much yogurt the kids get, as their eyes are often bigger than their bellies.

We are so proud of Cutter and how hard he had worked lately on potty training. After some extremely difficult times, he turned it all around and showed us what a big boy he is.

My creation, yummy!

John Deere party

We kept Cutter's birthday pretty simple this year as he had asked for a specific present, a gator, that was pretty pricey. We were still able to have a nice little party and spend the day with family and friends, you can't get much better than that!

My little John Deere boy!

The only other gift he requested was a blue dinosaur, he was a little excited when he got it.
Poor Leann didn't get any credit for this present, Cutter says "his Allie" gave it to him!
We managed to surprise him with his gator, he was one ecstatic little boy!
He knew exactly what to do and managed to run over only a few people.
Cake time!
Happy Birthday sweet boy, I hope each year is as exciting as this one!

Cutter turns 3!

Cutter's birthday fell on a Friday this year and since we weren't able to have a little get together until the following Sunday afternoon, I wanted him to still have a little something on his actual birthday. He requested green cupcakes, so green cupcakes it was. It's still hard to believe how quickly the past three years have gone. I am so proud of the little man he has become. All we can do is hope that we are completely done with the terrible two's!

My handsome little man!
This was to priceless to not share. For whatever reason, he had a complete meltdown. Guess turning three is harder work than I thought!
Strawberries made it all better.
