Old friends

I will be the first to admit I am not the most organized person in the world, more like semi hoarder status. However, every once in awhile my saving everything brings a smile to my face. I recently came across about five rolls of film that had never been developed. It was like finding buried treasure. All the pictures were from 2005 when Sailor was a baby and both my grandparents were living. I literally stood in Walmart and cried as I went through the photos. These are two of the treasured pictures that were on those rolls of film. Tucker and Morgan were both 5 years old in these pictures, they are now 13 and just registered for high school. Some friendships last a lifetime!

Seriously, could they both be any cuter?!
Almost exactly 8 years later. I believe they have changed just a little.

Powerhouse Math

Last month Sailor competed in the Powerhouse Math competition at her school. This is a math competition between the students, and they can complete either individually or as a group. Sailor was one of three chosen from her class for the group competition. They compete against all the other classes in the same grade level, and with the size of her school that usually means about 15 different 3rd grade classes. Sailor's group finished in 2nd place for their grade level. Hank and I are very proud of her. Tucker also competed in this same competition when he was in the 5th grade and placed 3rd in the group competition. Cutter has some big shoes to fill when he gets a little older!

Margaritaville Destin

We were fortunate enough to be able to go to Margaritaville on the day it opened in Destin. Having been to a couple of other ones I was very curious as to what this one would be like, especially after watching the construction going on for the past few months. I was pleasantly surprised. It is not overly decorated or quite as touristy as others and has plenty of seating without being packed on top of other people. The views are pretty great with lots of open air seating, upstairs and downstairs.

This side faces Harborwalk and the downstairs features a walk up bar.

Great views of the harbor and boats.
We went for drinks but couldn't resist giving this HUGE dessert a try, it didn't disappoint at all.
I love watching the pelicans patiently waiting for some free food.

Beautiful sunset to end the day.
