Night fishing

When my parents were here visiting, the guys decided to go late one afternoon to do a little fishing off the beach. The girls had not originally planned to go but when they sent us a picture of the first shark they caught we decided to ride over and see what else was being caught. Hank ended up catching another little shark once we got there.

Tourist are gone and the beaches are empty.
Cutter was thrilled when he finally got something on his line.
Even though it wasn't anything we could keep, he was still quite proud.
Cutter's stingray.
Dad caught a remora, can't do a thing with those either.
We got a beautiful sunset to end the day.
Mom and Sailor found some turtle eggs while walking the beach. We weren't real what they were at first and decided to call the Sea Turtle Conservation folks and let them help us out.
Turns out this was the remnants from a last years nest that the wind had exposed.
We were so relieved that a current nest had not been disturbed, and it turned out to be a great lesson for the kids to see first hand what a nest looks like and real turtle eggs.
   Keepers; bluefish and flounder.
