Shaving time
Cutter received a shaving kit for Christmas and it has been one of his most favorite gifts. During bath time he will often remind me that he hasn't shaved in a few days and probably needs to.

Fourteen
No one remembers,
I cannot say why
Only thing I keep thinking
Is that nobody tried
You were mine, only mine
No one knew you like me
I don't know why He couldn't
Just let you be
We shared so much
In our short time together,
And the time that we shared
Has made memories forever
So much I learned,
So much I lost -
Everything turned, toppled
And tossed
Butterfly flutters, then turns
And kicks . . .
Then, that sad day . . .
Was my mind playing tricks?
No cry, no movement,
not even a Breath . . .
As you lay on my tummy -
Perfect even in death
When I think of you now
At the age you would be,
A beautiful "big boy"
Is the child I see
My son you were,
My son you'll always be
And One -
That is us;
You and Me

To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry"
and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.
It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test,
And field the calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.
They always ask if she's all right
And what she's going through.
But seldom take his hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break.
He dries her tears and comforts her,
But "stays strong" for her sake.
It must be very difficult
To start each day anew.
And try to be so very brave-
He lost his baby too.

Pirate football
Hank was quite excited that ECU was headed to New Orleans for a bowl game this year and that he was actually here to be able to go. We would have all loved to have gone, but Cutter just isn't one for sitting in any seat for any length of time. So Hank and Tucker got two tickets and headed to New Orleans for the day.
Tucker loves the food served at the Superdome, lots of cajun cooking.
Hank ran into some Navy guys outside the stadium that were nice enough to give them two tickets for free tshirts for military appreciation. Gotta love the school that support our military!
Thank goodness for DVR. I was able to record the game and show Hank and Tucker that they were on TV!

Preschool Christmas program
I am always excited to go watch the kids in their Christmas programs and was especially excited about Cutter's this year. He had been singing his songs around the house for weeks and was so happy Hank and I were both going to be able to be there to watch him perform. The morning of the program he stood on the stage, shook his bell, and did absolutely nothing but stand there and smile! He better be glad he's so cute!

Santa visit 2012
For the fourth year in a row, we went to the Bass Pro in Destin for the kids to visit Santa. And once again, we were not disappointed. This is the exact same Santa the kids have seen every year since we moved here.
Sadly, Tucker is getting a little too big to sit on Santa's lap. He was such a great sport though and did not complain one time about having to go see him.
Hugs for Santa, this totally melted my heart.
What they were all waiting on, getting to play after their Santa visit.
We have a lefty in the family. Hank is trying to figure out how to show him to hold the gun.
The bigger boys finally getting to play.

Patience
When Sailor asked for a dog, she had in her mind a tiny little purse puppy that she could dress up on a regular basis. Since Izzy isn't exactly a puppy we weren't real sure how well the dressing part would go. Although she isn't crazy about getting all dressed up, she sure does handle it well. Poor dog had no idea what kind of family was adopting her!
It didn't take Sailor long to figure out her build a bear clothes fit Izzy nicely.
At least she is a Carolina fan.
Yes the dog has on a bikini and goggles, we live in Florida, why not?!
Ready for some football!

John Deere
When my parents came during the Thanksgiving break they brought Cutter a little green bible. Mom knows how much Cutter loves John Deere and thought maybe he would like a small bible she had found that was John Deere green. He really had not said much about it but a couple of weeks ago he brought it out and explained to me that it was a bible all about John Deere's. Gotta love the things that come out of their mouths!
