Rolling Milestone

Cutter has reached yet another milestone in his development, he can now roll over all by himself! I put him in his crib on his side for nap time today and when I went back to check on him, he was on his stomach. Thinking that he had a slight advantage by starting on his side, we decided to let him have some tummy time this afternoon while getting supper ready. While we all watched and cheered, he struggled for a minute but quickly figured out how to get from his back to his front! He seems to be quite proud of himself, as are we. So glad that the whole family was able to witness one of his first major achievements.

Cereal time

At his 4 month well baby appointment the doctor said to go ahead and start feeding Cutter cereal on a daily basis. Since he has refused formula, we are able to mix the cereal with breastmilk, water, or juice. As I usually don't have time to sit and pump we decided to try the cereal with juice hoping that he would like it some and show more interest in eating. Needless to say, I'm a little worried that I might be nursing this one until he's grown! He didn't refuse the cereal but he has a ways to go before I would say that he enjoyed eating it. We managed to get in about a tablespoon of cereal, or at least we hope we did. He ended up with as much on the front of him as he did in him.

First tooth

Cutter has officially cut his first tooth! After weeks of constant drooling, one of his lower teeth finally decided to surface today. He seems to try to chew on anything and everything including hands and fingers. While chewing on mine this afternoon, I realized there no longer just a swollen gum but a sharp little tooth. Although we are quite excited for him to reach a new milestone, it breaks my heart at how fast he is growing. Now we can only pray that this tooth doesn't become a factor in the eating process!

Appointments all around

Yesterday we had a 4 month well baby, a 4 year old well child and Tuckers yearly physical. Luckily our neighbor had recommended a local pediatrician and he turned out to be fabulous. Nothing better than moving to a new town and finding a great doctor right away. The kids all did well for their appointments and the younger two even got shots. Sailor was quite upset after her 3 shots until the nurse went and got her an ice pop and then she was fine. Cutter is now up to 16 lbs and 26 1/2 inches in length, quite the big boy! We can now start giving him cereal twice a day, only 2 more months and he'll start fruits and veggies. He is growing so fast! Overall it turned out to be a good experience, I was quite worried about taking all three to the doctor at one time but the office staff and the doctor made it quite a pleasant experience.

Little fisherman

Since moving to Florida, Tucker has really taken an interest in fishing. He begs to go every free minute that Hank has available. This morning we all decided to get up and head to the beach, the boys could fish and the girls could look for shells. Not long after we got there the wind picked up and some storms started blowing in. After realizing that the fish weren't biting, Tucker soon turned his attention to helping Sailor build a sand castle.

4 Months Old

Cutter turned 4 months old yesterday and continues to grow and change every single day. He has yet to roll over but enjoys spending time in his jumper. We all just sit and laugh at how hard he jumps and how happy he is when doing it. He goes next week for his 4 month well baby appointment and I can hardly wait to see how much he weighs and how long he is. He has made the stress of moving so much easier as he always seems to have a huge toothless smile on his pudgy little face.
